Currently if we want to add a configuration setting for a boolean option, we need to give it a "select" type with two options: yes and no. This is okay when there's only one setting, but when you have a group of boolean settings, it would be a lot better to show the settings as checkboxes. And even a single checkbox would be good in some cases.
https://jira.nypl.org/browse/SIMPLY-2591 is an example: we want to have a group listing all the flags inside the SIP2 "patron status" field, and let the library administrator choose which flags imply the patron shouldn't have lending privileges. A group of checkboxes would look really nice, but a group of drop-downs looks bad.
