SIMPLY S9 April 14 - 28, SIMPLY S10 April 28 - May 12
As far as I know, all of these steps are supposed to be in place currently:
- Library admin uses CM admin interface to set geographic service area of library by entering name of city, ZIP code, etc.
- Library admin registers library with registr
- Registry sets up service area of library as a geographic object
- Client request comes in for 'nearby' libraries
- Library registry uses a geolocation database and a database query to find the list of 'nearby' libraries, and sends it back to the user
We won't be directly using that "nearby libraries" request for a while, but we need this entire chain of functionality to work for a feature we may be implementing sooner.
The server root, https://libraryregistry.librarysimplified.org/, is supposed to show the "nearby libraries" feed, and there are currently no libraries in that feed – I should be seeing at least NYPL and Brooklyn. So at least one piece of this system is currently broken in production.
