Most circulation managers exclude Overdrive audiobooks from OPDS feeds. This is a configuration setting that can be removed once Overdrive approves that library's use of Overdrive audiobooks.
However, if someone uses the Overdrive website to borrow an audiobook, that audiobook will still show up in the patron's bookshelf feed.
A version of SimplyE that does not support Overdrive audiobooks will see the Overdrive audiobook in the bookshelf feed and filter it out as unsupported. A version of SimplyE that does support Overdrive audiobooks will offer the patron the chance to fulfill the title. At that point, the circulation manager will try to fulfill the title, Overdrive will refuse, and the end-user will get a confusing error.
This problem can't be resolved on the SimplyE side, because SimplyE doesn't know whether a library has or hasn't gotten their use of Overdrive audiobooks approved. The circulation manager should exclude Overdrive audiobooks from bookshelf feeds if it excludes Overdrive audiobooks from other sorts of feeds.
