Any HTTP request handled by the circulation manager will include a value for the User-Agent header.
By examining this header we can determine whether the client is the Android SimplyE app, the iOS SimplyE app, or a regular web browser.
Once determined, this generic "platform" information can be made a dimension in any analytics event triggered by an incoming request. This will give library administrators a picture of the platform mix used by the library's patrons.
The exact User-Agent value must not be used as an analytics dimension since it can be used to fingerprint users.
