The current implementation of "list setting with options" flavor of ProtocolFormField has some extremely annoying quirks, plus the component isn't visually consistent with the rest of the app at this point. Not sure yet whether the best option is to overhaul the existing code, or to just be consistent and use the dropdown version of InputList instead.
