Running automated tests of the SimplyE mobile app uses up a huge number of Adobe ID activations. But relatively few of the tests actually need to activate an Adobe ID.

It should be possible for an automated script to complete the library log in process without actually activating an Adobe ID. This will make it possible to test almost all of SimplyE's functionality without worrying about failures caused by Adobe-specific issues such as activation limits.

It should not be possible for average library patrons to complete the library log in process without activating an Adobe ID. Hiding the switch for this functionality in the developer settings screen would address this.
