Because distributors create & distribute proprietary formats like Overdrive Read to libraries & consortia, SimplyE sometimes will display books in a library's catalog that can't be rendered by our reader. If a patron tries to load these book or audio files, the app reports an error that reads "Unsupported format."

Our partners often don't know they have unsupported formats in their collection, and on occasion a patron will have a book checked out in one location that makes it unrenderable in another. We need to provide better messaging in these contexts, in FAQs, admin tools, and in the app.
