There is a small tail of users that are not able to experience PDF's in certain ways:

1. If a user is on an older device and has not upgraded to a modern version (iOS 9 and 10), then PDF support currently does not exist for these users. When they attempt to download a PDF, a message comes on screen to tell them that "the item is not supported".
2. There are also certain FEATURES of the deafult PDF experience that only exist in PSPDFKit, and users may want them. No current examples are known. We'll have to wait and see what users say. Partners may already be aware of things they want, and this should be considered.

The default renderer is free to us, and is free for any partner to use. PSPDFKit has a negotiated license contract for Android and iOS, not yet started. The goal will be to assess priority and resources based on needs of partners and users. The default can always exist alongside a separate renderer.

Android may or may not have an equally capable "Deafult" renderer. It has not been recently researched. Each partner is capable of witholding or making available PDF's for thair patrons from the server side, independent of any of this client work.
